Be prepared for some "really really really live techno improv" this week, as KFO makes it across town to the rainydawg studio. This is a guy who I thought, when I first heard him DJ, had stolen my record collection and my talent, and somehow multiplied both by many orders of magnitude. Since then he's taught himself how to squeeze beautiful rhythmic sounds out of his laptop, has become a regular fixture in our city's burgeoning techno community, and performed on the opening night of this years Decibel Festival. Should be great.

This week sees Mat Anderson join me in the studio. He's coming down armed with plenty of exclusives for Sounding Depth of his own productions and has kindly offered to give away a unique dubplate, with a limited edition of ONE PRESSING! That's right, one pressing only, and we'll be giving it away live on air this wednesday, the 19th of October, between 5 and 7pm PST. You gotta be listening live to win. Apart from all that goodness, he'll be stepping up to the turntables for a set of tech-house to warm your autumn spirits. Sweet.

More than a year and a half later, and I'm back. I couldn't keep away. There's all this music that I want to share and labels I've come across and new artists making all kinds of future sounds. Oh boy, yes! We've got 18 months of jams to catch up on.

So, back to the sub-bassment - Wednesdays 5-7pm PST is the new broadcast time. This time around, though, there are going to be streaming archives up for a week, so any time that the fancy grabs you, you'll be able to listen. Sweet. Look for a link on the navigation bar above (when I get around to adding it).

There's also a link up there to the playlists. It's pretty cool to see what I was pimping back then, and then think about the kinds of music I'm buying and listening to these days. It should be a bit of a change, as my tastes have expanded dramatically. Expect more 'raucus' and 'abrasive' with less 'thumb-up-ass-introspective'. You have been warned.

It's great to be back.
